Patient Focus and Public Involvement (PFPI)

The Patient Focus and Public Involvement [PFPI] strategy document  was developed to support our staff to involve people in our work. By people we mean members of the general public, users of NHS services or their carers, people who we have recruited specifically to work with NHS Quality Improvement Scotland (NHS QIS) on a voluntary basis, and people we work with in the voluntary sector.

This strategy is about how we involve people and it is important to us that it is available to members of the public. During consultation, we found that this document is easier to understand when the reader has some background information about NHS QIS, its structures, and its work. As this strategy is a working document, primarily aimed at our staff, we have developed a supporting leaflet for members of the public, and others who are not as familiar with our work.
