Report Finds NHS Boards Recognise Importance of Data

NHS Boards are responding positively to data on surgical services, and using this information to help improve the quality, safety and effectiveness of patient care. That’s the key finding in a new report published today (Thursday) by NHS Quality Improvement Scotland (NHS QIS). The report was created to describe how NHS Boards had responded to Surgical Profile information that had been issued to NHS Boards in Scotland by NHS QIS in collaboration with the Information Services Division of NHS National Services Scotland (ISD).

The Scottish Executive has announced that the relocation of our Edinburgh-based staff to Glasgow is no longer going ahead. They have also made clear that Glasgow-based staff will remain in Glasgow.

Report Reveals Performance Against National Standards

NHSScotland has a taken a big step forward towards ensuring that every patient gets the right nutritional care, at the right time, delivered by properly trained staff, NHS Quality Improvement Scotland (NHS QIS) said today (Thursday) as it published a report revealing the performance by NHS boards against national standards for food, fluid and nutritional care in hospitals.
