Case Review of Sudden Unexpected Deaths in Infancy (SUDI) in Scotland
Overall project aim
To conduct a three year study of standardised case review of SUDI in Scotland in children aged 0-2 years who die suddenly and unexpectedly and whose deaths lead to fiscal autopsy.

- To look at trends
- To identify antecedent factors
- To audit consistency of approach by police and Procurator Fiscal
- To audit consistency of diagnosis by pathologists
- To identify family support needs and provide feedback to appropriate professionals
- To secure inter-agency working
