Revised NHSQIS Process for Technology Appraisal Guidance Published By NICE
This process supersedes that published by the NHS Quality Improvement Scotland in July 2003.
In recognition of the needs and expectations of decision-makers in Scotland, NHS Quality Improvement Scotland (NHS QIS) advises on Technology Appraisal Guidance published by NICE (NICE Appraisals) after 1 May 2001.
Stakeholder Consultation
In 2006 NHS QIS commissioned an independent evaluation into our work.
It found we have made a positive impact on NHSScotland but we need to be clearer about why we do what we do in the way that we do it. We also need to have greater impact on frontline clinicians and primary care if we are to be of even greater value to the NHS.
As part of our work in addressing these issues, we have launched a consultation aimed at engaging key stakeholders on the future work of NHS QIS.
