NHS QIS Network Review April 2010 onwards

A recent internal review to ensure that NHS QIS structures support its integrated cycle of improvement has identified the need to broaden our focus and develop a more integrated approach to development and improvement.  This review has led to changes in the Directorate and the dissolution of the Practice Development Unit with effect from April 2010. Effective clinical engagement remains a key component of all our implementation and improvement programmes and there are exciting opportunities ahead as new models of enagement are developed. The implications of these changes for the existing Practice Development Networks for AHPs is an area currently under review and as discussed at the Network Chairs meeting on 21st April 2010, we will be undertaking an option appraisal exercise to consider future options for the networks which will be discussed at the next Network Chairs meeting in September 2010. If you require any further information about the changes or the networks please do not hesitate to contact Angela Balharrie on angela.balharrie@nhs.net or June Wylie on june.wylie@nhs.net
