In their Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct for Occupational Therapists , the College of Occupational Therapists (COT) state that all Occupational Therapy staff must maintain and improve their own professional standards by:
- Achieving and continuously maintaining high standards of competence
- Being responsible for actively maintaining and developing their professional competence
- Achieving base service delivery on accurate and current information in the interests of high quality patient care
- Promoting understanding of and contribute to, the development of Occupational Therapy.
