Practice Development Network for Allied Health Professions – Therapeutic Radiography Bulletin
Valuing Radiography in Scotland Event - 23rd September 2006
Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh
Over 80 radiographers, working in Scotland, attended a collaborative radiography event on 23rd September 2006 in Edinburgh. This conference was organised and supported by the Scottish Council for Radiography, NHS Quality Improvement Scotland, NHS Education and the Scottish Executive Health Department.
The day provided an excellent opportunity to share good practice, debate radiography issues and network with colleagues. The opportunities for radiographers in engaging with clinical effectiveness, role development, career progression and the policy agenda were all highlighted in the morning presentations.
Jacqui Lunday, Chief Health Professions Officer, said radiographers are now firmly on the map and have never before had such opportunity to make a difference to patients in Scotland .
Congratulations to Sandy Mathers, Research Fellow who won the poster competition.
