Introduction
Welcome to this resource on learning disability, which has been written for nursing and midwifery practitioners in Scotland. It contains four units of study, six narratives and a video, which will support approximately twelve to fifteen hours of learning on a range of issues that relate to learning disability. The material has a number of intended learning outcomes for your own professional development. After studying this material you should be more knowledgeable and confident in working with people with learning disabilities and responding to their health care needs.
