A Realist Synthesis of Evidence Relating to Practice Development

The Report and Executive Summary

About the Report

In July 2005 NHS Quality Improvement Scotland and NHS Education for Scotland commissioned a research team from Ulster University to undertake a literature review examining the evidence around practice development. The research offers a number of key messages and recommendations to inform the ongoing integration of practice development strategies into healthcare systems and processes.

The final report from this innovative and timely study is available. In addition to the full report (175 pages long), an Executive Summary outlining the methodology, key messages and recommendations is also available.
