Vital Systems Report (PDF, 727K, 1 min 46secs)

About the report

This interim report has been prepared to provide rapid feedback on our review visits to each NHS Board area. It presents a summary of performance at national level against the Clinical Governance and Risk Management Standards and can be used to inform discussions at NHS Board level.

Equality & Diversity

NHS QIS is committed to equality and diversity. This document, and the research on which it is based, have been assessed for any likely impact on the six equality groups defined by age, gender, race/ethnicity, religion/faith, disability and sexual orientation.

About the review

At the request of the Scottish Executive, NHS QIS will provide an annual assessment of performance against national standards to be included in the targets set by Ministers. The first round of peer review visits to all NHS Boards in Scotland was conducted between May 2006 and May 2007.

A local report on each NHS Board visit, including a detailed assessment of their performance against each standard, has been published as a result of these visits.

About the Standards

The National Standards for Clinical Governance and Risk Management were developed and published in October 2005 following extensive consultation.
