Link opens in new windowStandard 4 Partner Notification Costing Tool (Excel, 263K, 38secs)

This excel tool aims to assist NHS boards to estimate the local costs and resource requirements associated with implementing standard 4 on  partner notification standard within the Sexual Health Standards. Users should refer to Chapter 6  of the ' Sexual health standards: A report on the budget impact for Scotland and by NHS board’ May 2008.

This tool only provides an indication of resource requirements and costs involved, and should be adapted to suit individual user's needs.

Background information

There is evidence that the lack of robust information on the resources required and associated costs is one of the biggest difficulties in developing plans to implement clinical guidelines. This report is an attempt to reduce this barrier by providing an estimate of the costs to implement some key criteria within each standard. It should be read in conjunction with the relevant standards.
