Groups and Partnerships

NHS QIS works in partnership with a wide range of other organisations to deliver our objectives. We are involved in a number of groups and partnerships, leading and supporting quality improvement in a range of healthcare areas. Some of our partnership work is detailed below.

Scottish Health Technologies Group (SHTG)

A multiplicity of evidence is available to assist in selecting and planning the introduction of new health technologies. However the sheer volume of evidence alongside difficulties in assessing its quality and generalisability to the Scottish context often precludes its routine consideration.

SHTG was established by SGHD in 2007 as an advisory group aiming to provide support and assistance to NHS boards when considering the introduction of new technologies in NHSScotland.
