Clinical Audit of Care in Rheumatoid Arthritis

Project information

Clinical Audit of Care in Rheumatoid Arthritis Ref: P02/01

Project aims

  • Prospective clinical audit of the implementation of key SIGN guideline recommendations, to identify if there are significant variations in the provision of care between individual clinical care teams, hospitals or Health Boards.
  • Prospective clinical audit of important short/medium term outcome measures, to identify if there are significant variations in outcome, and to identify if these can in part be explained by any variations in the quality of clinical care that are found.
  • Inform the process of generation of clinical standards of care, drawn from the results of the audit, which would then form the basis of future clinical audit.
