About the resource pack
This resource pack provides practical information about the programme and its constituent elements. The pack is an evolving document, which will develop over time, as the programme itself moves forward.
The current version provides an overview of the national audits, the first cycle of which will be undertaken over the summer.
The pack will be supplemented, at intervals, with additional information in the form of the ‘Assessment Framework’ that will be distributed along with the final version of the CHD standards towards the end of 2009.

About the project
The Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) Improvement Programme takes us in a new direction. It is the first time that previously independent work streams have been drawn together into a coherent programme of work.
