Background

The development of clinical standards for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) services builds on our previous work on long-term common conditions.

We are developing these in response to matters raised by patient groups, the Scottish Government and in the Audit Scotland Managing Long-term Conditions Report.

Go to our COPD project page for more background information.

Consultation

The draft clinical standards are open for consultation for 3-months. This is aimed at our key stakeholders including:

  • NHS staff
  • members of the public
  • patients and carers
  •  non-statutory services.

Comment on our draft standards

Submit your comments via the online form above. Or download a consultation form and post, fax or email your comments to the address below by Friday 4 December 2009.
